Confocal micrograph of A431 cells after labeling with antibodies against the protein-tyrosine-phosphatase LAR (FITC, pseudocolor green) and gamma-catenin (CyTM3, pseudocolor red). The laser confocal fluorescence image was superimposed on a gray-scale transmission image (pseudophase contrast). The orange color results from the co-localization of both proteins after stimulation with the phorbol-ester TPA.
